Nikki Dawney is an experienced Town Planning Consultant known for her positive and proactive approaches and advocacy for sustainable development. Over the past two decades, she has played an active role in local authority decision-making that prioritizes conservation-led regeneration, environmental sustainability, community engagement, and efficient land use. Her contributions include long term roles supporting development management teams in East Herts (Harlow Gilston Garden Town), Brentwood Borough Council, Epping Forest District Council, Braintree Council and the Royal Borough of Greenwich in the management and determination of large-scale developments and complex major and minor planning applications. Additionally, she has provided specialist advice to a broad range of experts at the National Trust developing an in-depth people/place-centric approach to places where people want to spend time and engage with their surroundings. Her expertise has made her a well-respected consultant to planning and architectural practices, property developers and surveyors where she provides specialist planning advice, pre-application site selection, feasibility studies and planning strategy for residential and mixed-use development. This advice frequently involves working as part of multi-disciplinary project teams to co-ordinate planning solutions.
